About	Chuck Maroney, III, Chuck Maroney, III, age 49, died at his home at Canyon Lake on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008. He was born Dec. 4, 1958, at Mineral Wells, Texas, to Charles Godfrey Maroney, Jr. and Lola Marie (Brack) Maroney. Chuck served in the United States Navy from 1978 until 1982. He loved woodworking, and NASCAR. He was a Boy Scout volunteer and was the first football manager at Smithson Valley High School, Class of 1977, which was also the first graduating class of SVHS. Survivors include his mother, Lola Marie Maroney of Canyon Lake; brothers, Bill Maroney and wife Jana of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Tim Maroney and wife Mona of Canyon Lake; sisters, Dorothy Pults and husband Steve of Seattle, Wash., and Sally Edmonds and husband Ronnie of Canyon Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is set for Thursday, Nov. 27 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at St. Thomas Catholic Church at Canyon Lake. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Memorial donations may be given to the Boy Scouts of America.
