| About | With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lynda Sue Rubenstein; mother of Kenya, daughter of Gary and Eileen, sister of Greg and friend to all who knew her. Lynda died December 28, 2016, after an 18 month battle with brain cancer. Lynda was born in Eugene on July 11, 1963 and attended Edison, Roosevelt Junior High and South Eugene High School. An accomplished viola player, Lynda attended the University of Puget Sound on a music scholarship, ultimately graduating from the University of Oregon in 1986 with a degree in international relations. Lynda also had a love for the French language, and lived in both Avignon and Dijon. There she met Rabah Hadjouti, who became her husband and father of their son. Alternately living in Eugene and Dijon they moved from France to Chandler, Arizona in 2007 to be with their family. Rabah passed away from complications of diabetes later in 2007. She was an amazing person we really clicked in high school I really good friends with their brother Greg haven't talked to him for years you know how it goes but I'm sad to see her die so young sounds like she had a good life I wish she'd just want to add more of it
