About Larry was born in Los Angeles, California on August 13, 1946. At the age of three he moved to Sparks, Nevada with his mother and step-father, Margaret and Ben Wilson. Within just a few years he was joined by a younger sister and brother. He graduated from Sparks High School in 1964. He grew up surrounded by numerous aunts and uncles and cousins enjoying many family BBQs and reunions. He had a strong work ethic and began fixing things, working on cars, doing yardwork and started taking on jobs as a young teen. He continued with that love of manual work and accomplishment all his life! After his discharge from the Navy, Larry put his experience to use in business fabricating wheels for race cars. He also enjoyed rebuilding VW bugs and turning them into Baja bugs which he raced in the winter Baja races Larry married for the first time later in life. Last year Larry was diagnosed with cancer.
