About	Richard George Buyck, 73, of East Peoria passed on at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 1:06 p.m. “Dick” was the eldest of 5 children born to George and Shirley (Nee Olsen) Buyck. Born on April 21, 1942 in Geneva, IL. His parents preceded him in death. His 4 siblings all survive, they are Alice (Barry) Smith of Arkansas, Daniel Buyck, Denise (Robert) Krajnovich and Marina (Dan) Macler all of Illinois. Dick graduated from St. Charles High School and was a proud Air Force Veteran serving with the 42 Bomb Wing, part of the Strategic Air Command out of Loring A.F. Base in Maine. Dick married Christine Lynne Barker on August 11, 1973 and they had over 42 years of love, friendship and devotion. She survives. Their children are Melinda Buyck (Nathan Barrett) of Nevada, IA, and Catherine Buyck-Crauder who resides with them in East Peoria. The 2 greatest joys of his life are his grandchildren, Noah and Runa Barrett. He was a great Pa Pa, son, father, uncle and first and foremost, husband. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, 2 nieces, Dylan Kulick and Shannon Smith, 1 son-in-law, Robert Crauder, and 1 brother-in-law, Jeff Oppe. Dick worked over 38 years in office machines and most recently worked for PND Services, a job he truly cherished. Memorials may be made to Pets for Seniors (PFS Shelter) P.O. Box 64, Edwards, IL, or to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, who the family will be forever grateful for his care. There will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded.
