About	Allen Landmeier, 74, died on Saturday, February 25 after a long illness. He is survived by his beloved wife Charlotte, sons; Matthew (Megan), Mark (Karen), and Michael (Anna), and granddaughters Eleanor, Caroline, and Charlotte Landmeier. The son of Vernon and Eleanor Landmeier, Allen was born on November 24, 1942 in Elmhurst. On July 8, 1978 he married Charlotte (nee Ekern) at the Geneva United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of St. Charles High School and received his Bachelors and Law degrees from Valparaiso University. Allen was a dedicated servant of his church, family, country, and community. He was Lieutenant in the US Navy Judge Advocate General Corps, City Attorney of St. Charles, and senior partner at Smith, Landmeier, and Elders, PC in Geneva, IL until his retirement. He was a past President of the Kane County Bar Association and held positions on several professional organizations and community boards, including Delnor Hospital, and the Norris Cultural Arts Center. Allen loved camping with his sons and was involved in the Boy Scouts of America throughout his life, as an Eagle Scout in his youth and later as an Assistant Scoutmaster and in several local leadership positions. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday March 5th from 2-6pm at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 East Main Street (Corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25). The funeral will be held at 10:30am on Monday March 6th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1156 N. 5th Ave, St. Charles IL with Pastor Mark Larson officiating. Internment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva. Donations in Allen’s memory may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.org).
