About	Eda June “Edie” Overstreet 66, of West Chicago, died early Sunday morning, October 5, 2008 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She was born March 23, 1942 in Chicago, the daughter of Walter A. And Iva F. (Dunn) Bandelow. Edie was a 1960 graduate of St. Charles High School and attended College of DuPage. She was employed by Buikema’s Ace Hardware in Montgomery and was looking forward to her retirement at the end of January 2009. Edie was a life-long Cubs Fan. She enjoyed collecting different items, especially the Pocket Dragons. She looked forward to meeting on a monthly basis with her fellow high school classmates for breakfast. Edie is survived by her son, William R. “Bill” Overstreet, Jr. Of West Chicago; her brothers, Milton “Mokes” Bandelow of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Charles “Charlie” (Dolores) Bandelow of Section, Alabama; her sisters, Marilyn Freese of Cornell, Illinois and Janet Lee of Aurora and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Edie was preceded in death by two sisters, LaVonne Herhold and Carol Hurd. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 8, 2008, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third Street, (3 blocks west of the Fox River and 1 block south of Rt. 64) St. Charles, with Rev. Timothy P. Silber, officiating.
