About	Carol Lynn Derkacz Resident of Livermore, CA Age 66, died surrounded by her family on Sunday morning, February, 2011. Born February 26, 1944 , in Chicago Illinois, where she lived, before settling in Livermore California. She appreciated artistic expression. She painted, planted and created exquisite surroundings. She worked a variety of jobs while raising her daughters, most recently at The Livermore Senior Center, where she was loved by many. Carol was preceded in death by her father James Fernandez (Paxton) and her brother Chester. Survivors include her four daughters Monica Derkacz, Melissa Crosbie, Marlena Potter and Marjorie Miller, her longtime companion, Alva Richards and four loving son-in-laws. She was loved by her Grandchildren: Chelsea, Kyle, Elijah, Emma, Ian, Olivia , Jeffrey, Hannah, Logan, Zoe, Griffin, and Samuel, who will miss their Yia Yia always. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Krol, and her siblings Linda, Laurie, Karen, James and Anthony. A small and private Service was held at on February 12, 2011 at Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore, California. Be well Mama, until we meet again.
