Born in Lansing, Mich.to a very Polish second generation family as I am the third & the first granddaughter ever having a very authentic USA Polish Wedding. Jerry & I promised Grandmother Lucille Borkowski we would carry on the tradition she favored much fro Kraków,Poland to United States, as she was so very proud of her American Citizenship in 1912. I grew up in the farm country of Macomb county nearest town was Utica, Mich., with two brothers & three sisters. I entered St. Lawrence R.C. school from 1950 - 1957. I attended Utica High School from 1958 - 1962 and a little above average grades and loved my office skills. Plus I was a Gym Assistant in GAA,and was was in Business Club, Shorthand 1 & 11, Choir Glee Club & Spanish 1. I was fortunate after graduation to work many office jobs as Secretary for Spec. Dr.& Reamer Corp.(1963-1972);Kelly Office Serv.(1973-1986) I worked thru Kelly Serv. At Oakland Univ. for two Professors Computer Science & Eng.-a hard class and the Graduates & Undergraduates were very smart, 1986-1991 GM Tech,Warren for Ray Gallus Cost Estimating Dept.Retired and became a diversified entrepreneur.Started Grapevine Arts & Sweetfern with the help of husband, family & farming friends for 30 years including the Herb Gardening & Flower Farming. Now, going back to September 11, 1965 I married my Utica High Sweetheart who is a hard working German & Irish American, with skills in Tool & Die & Woodworking. In December of 1965 my husband was drafted into the US Army for Vietnam.Two years later he came home injured with an Honorable Discharge as Radar Specialist MOS11F20. His Hqts. Co. 9th Division 47th Infantry of 12 soldiers was offered a Silver Star for Junction City Battle in Vietnam but never received their award. We are still able to work and be thankful for our freedom.
