| About | Dale Lee Powaga, of Jackson, Michigan passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, at the age of 68. Dale was the son of Anthony and Phyllis May (Crapser) Powaga born December 4, 1948 in Jackson, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Yasumi (Mako) Powaga; his dogs, Yuki and Miki; his cat, Yuka. Dale was a graduate of Vandercook Lake High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections after 27 years of service, as a Correction Officer. Dale enjoyed bowling, watching war movies, cooking and chauffeuring his wife. Dale was a coronet player in the band and my best friend. May you rest in peace and rise in glory. Semper Fi, warrior. Agent Orange finally got him. "Friendly fire" from the government he fought for in Vietnam as a United States Marine. Name not on "The Wall" but a casualty of the war just the same. Rest in peace and rise in glory old friend.
