Dear Classmates, We are still planning our 45 year class reunion for September 20-21. This is West Fest weekend and some of the other activities include the parade on Saturday, car cruise on Thursday night and the Fireman’s dance on Saturday night. Our reunion activities include the hayride and bonfire at Jay Meyer’s farm on Friday night. Directions to Jay’s place: Head straight out of West Fargo on Main Ave, continue onto I-94 west and turn off at Mapleton exit, (which is roughly 5 miles from west edge of West Fargo). . Go north straight through Mapleton (you will go right by Hagge’s) and 4 miles from I-94, out of town on the highway (co-11) you will see signs for CO-20. ( a large gravel road) Turn left onto gravel road (co-20) and go west 1-1/4 miles, Jay’s is the first farm you come to and farm yard is on your right. For those who need a little more help- when you get north of Mapleton somewhere in the neighborhood of the turnoff, look to the west and you will see a large, blue, metal silo, brand name Harvestor. That silo is on jay’s farm. We plan to gather at Hagge’s in Mapleton at 6 PM that night and we can all order our own food. The address of Hagge’s is 650 Carl Olsen St. but it is right off I-94. We will probably be at Jay’s around 8 PM. In case of inclement weather we will stay at Hagge’s. We are checking into the possibility of reserving a party bus for that night but need to know how many people would want to use the bus. The bus would leave from the Kelly Inn. If interested, rooms are available at the Kelly Inn for $79 per night. On Saturday night, we have tables reserved at the VFW in West Fargo starting around 5:30PM. We plan to order pizzas that night. We are asking for a $20 deposit for each person attending. This will help cover some costs at the Friday night activities. We may need to pass the hat for the pizza on Saturday night as we don’t know the final costs, but need some number to work with. That’s why we need your help! We need to know how many people plan to attend, how many need motel rooms, who wants to ride the bus, etc. Please fill out the information sheet so that we can continue with our plans.
