Michael Alan Puckett
May 7, 1947 - February 17, 2023

Michael "Mike" Alan Puckett, age 75, of Canton, GA passed to be with the Lord peacefully at home Friday, February 17th, 2023. Mike was born in Bloomington, Indiana, to Gerald "Max" and Elizabeth Puckett. He grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana, and was well known for excelling at many sports as well as in the classroom. He is remembered as a natural leader, whether it was at school, running around Elm Street, or playing sports. He was a stellar quarterback for the West Lafayette HS football team in addition to thriving on the basketball court and the baseball field. He was the pledge class president at the SAE house at Purdue University. He loved his time at Purdue and received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Management. He also played for the Purdue Rugby Club for several years. Mike treasured his friendships with his West Lafayette classmates and remained close, from childhood to grandparenthood, and looked forward to their many gatherings throughout the years.

Mike spent most of his career as a builder in Georgia. He built beautiful homes in Big Canoe, Windsor Oaks, Lost Creek, Burnt Hickory Lakes, and Martins Landing.

More than building houses, Mike built a wonderful family life. Mike was a devoted husband, loving father, caring brother, and an influential Pops. He coached his children's sports teams and became a huge fan of watching his daughter play volleyball. His greatest joy was cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and being entertained by whatever activities they were involved in. He also loved fishing, especially with his son, whenever he got the chance.

He is remembered as a strong, encouraging, positive family man who left an amazing legacy.
