Carol Cox Daubenspeck

Class of 1964

Carol Cox, Beach, Daubenspeck moved to five acres near 206th Street and Lamong Rd. in late 2012 when the DOT bought her property on St. Rd. 32 for road construction.
She married Delbert Beach in November of 1964 and then completed her certificate from Indiana School of Automation: (NCR and Burroughs bookkeeping machines) in 1965. After 10 years of marriage they were divorced and she was single for 13 years raising her two children; Teresa Beach Spiech now 48 and Daniel Beach now 45. Teresa married David Spiech, an editor at IUPUI. Carol has three grandchildren: Natasha Spiech and Jacob and Crystal Beach. She worked as bookkeeper and office manager for various companies from 1974 to 1990. Carol went to Indiana Vocational Technical Collage for her Associates Degree in Accounting before marrying Jon Daubenspeck in May 1988. From 1988 she was co-owner of Dauby’s Domain, Inc. and sole owner of Dauby’s Domain, LLC from 2005 to June 2008. Her mother, Elsie Cox lived with her from 1994 to 1997 when she died.
Jon Daubenspeck died November 14, 2009 after two years of Mesotheleoma the results of exposure to Asbestos in the Navy. Jon was ordained May 2004 and became Associate Pastor at White Chapel Church in Carmel till he died. They made two trips to Israel in 2009 and one to Greece and Petra in Jordan less than two weeks before he died. Carol assisted him with the Bible classes and church services he did at Maple Park Senior Living Center. At White Chapel Carol programs the words for hymns and backgrounds and projects them and scriptures each Sunday for all to see.
Carol was a birthright member of the Westfield Friends Church until around 1972 when she helped start Grace Church of Indianapolis at Beach Grove. She presently is a member of Eaglecreek Evangelical Friends Church at Eagletown and continues to Audit their books. She is also treasurer for Christ Community Church of Lamong Refuge.
Carol Daubenspeck was Vice President of Westfield Washington Historical Society from its founding in 1997 and for three years, then President the following three years. She gave talks on Early Westfield History and the Underground Railroad from 2002 to 2007, since her great, great, great grandfather was Simon Moon, the first settler and one of the founders of Westfield and involved in the Underground Railroad.
She was Inspector for the Elections at Oak Ridge 1 Precinct from 2000 to 2008
