About	Ronald "Ron" Louis Perzo, age 54, a longtime resident of Gary, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009. He was born on April 24, 1955 in Gary, the son of John and Catherine Perzo. Ron worked as a laborer with ServSteel, Inc. He had a lifelong passion for his radio journalism and had worked for several radio stations including WSOY radio in Decatur, IL, WIMS radio in Michigan City, WWCA radio in Gary and for WJOB radio in Hammond. He was a graduate of William A. Wirt High School and enjoyed gardening and collecting lighthouses. Ron is survived by his loving family: sister, Annette K. (Danny) Cudney of Hobart; nephew Bryan D. (Elizabeth) Cudney of Hobart; nephew, Matthew M. (Kori) Cudney of Hobart; great nephew, Evan Cudney; great niece, Lilian Cudney; sister, Donna M. (Charles) Coleman of Midway, TN; and brother, John A. (Debra) Perzo of La Porte; brother, Norman G. (Rosa) Perzo of Birmingham, AL; and numerous other nieces and nephews, and other loving family and dear friends. He is also survived by his two dogs: Body and Scruffy; and his cat, Tigger. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation for Ron Perzo will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home - Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service for Ron Perzo will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
