Kevin Burkhardt, born between 1973 or 1974, is a successful American sportscaster best known for his role as the lead play-by-play voice for the NFL on Fox and lead studio host for Fox Major League Baseball. A proud alumnus of Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Burkhardt graduated in 1992 and went on to earn a degree in broadcasting from William Paterson University in 1997.

His career in broadcasting began at WGHT radio station in Northern New Jersey. This role laid the foundation for his later work, covering events like high school football. He also spent time broadcasting New Jersey Jackals minor league games for WJUX at Jukebox Radio, and served as a car salesman at a Chevrolet dealership in Eatontown, New Jersey between broadcasting gigs.

Following his stint at WGHT, Burkhardt transitioned to WFAN, starting as a freelancer before ultimately becoming the station's full-time New York Jets reporter. He was also a regular feature on Philadelphia’s CN8's 'Out of Bounds' and contributed to sports reporting for Time Warner Cable and WCBS 880.

Joining the Mets broadcast team at the beginning of the 2007 season was a significant shift in Burkhardt’s career. Serving as a reporter with SportsNet New York (SNY) during New York Mets telecasts from 2007 to 2014, he featured on popular shows like Mets Hot Stove, Mets Pre-Game Live, and Mets Post-Game Live. In 2014, Burkhardt left SNY for a full-time job at Fox.

Despite his involvement with the Mets, Burkhardt wanted to commentate on football games. He found this opportunity at the Compass Radio Network, where he called several college football games, and importantly, the 2009 Texas Bowl. At Compass Radio Network, Burkhardt also was the play-by-play voice for Dallas Cowboys games.
