| About Me | After graduation I went to work at Charlie’s Citgo Garage in Shirley were I became a licensed mechanic. I worked there for 8 years until it closed in 1986. I then worked fulltime at Paul Akers Inc. until 1989 when I joined the New Castle Fire Department. I continued working for Paul Akers as a service technician until January 2000. In 2000 I became the Director of the Henry County Emergency Management Agency, the chairman of the Henry County Local Emergency Planning Committee and then the Director of Operations of the Henry County Hazardous Materials Team. My career in the fire service began as a Volunteer for the town of Shirley in 1985, then as a volunteer for the town of Kennard, of which I’m still a member.
