Goodbye to old LHS

I hope they take good care of the speakers my mounted on the poles at the football field circa 1977; I helped him do it, fetching tools and such. It was drizzly that day, and a bit windy, and Dad had to lash the extension ladder to each pole after he climbed up to mount each of the bullhorns and connecting cables & wires. Lots of fond memories in that bldg., too numerous to count. Go Lancers!

Goodbye to LHS as we knew it

I guess most of you have heard that they will be taking down the school the end of this month (June 2008) and building a brand new one to be open for the 2010-2011 school year. There was an open house a few weeks ago where you could go and walk through the building one last time. Good ol' LHS is in pretty bad shape. Even though it is time for a new building, it will be weird to walk through halls and classrooms that won't have our memories tied to them.
