Tim Schaller, a Merrimack High School alumni, is a notable figure in the world of ice hockey. Born on November 16, 1990, in Merrimack, New Hampshire, Schaller has made a significant impact in the sport. He started his career playing at the high school level and was named Merrimack High School Rookie of the Year in 2006.

After high school, Schaller attended Providence College where he showed promise in his early years, earning the Rev. Herman Schneider Most Valuable Freshman Award. Over the years at Providence, he consistently improved his performance, eventually leading the team in goals and earning the Rob Gaudreau Award.

Professionally, Schaller kicked off his career with the Buffalo Sabres, signing a two-year, entry-level contract in 2013. He quickly proved his worth and managed to record eleven goals and eighteen points in his first season. He later played for the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks in the National Hockey League (NHL). His time with the Canucks ended with a trade to the Los Angeles Kings along with other assets in exchange for Tyler Toffoli.
