SJHS Men's Track Team win first State Title, 25th title for the school

On June 2, 2012 the following individuals; junior-Devon Martin, seniors-John Michael Pirtle, Dylan Shirley, Cody Stout and Trevor Warner and sophomore-team alternate-Andrew Roy represented Stonewall Jackson High School (Quicksburg) in Radford, Virginia at Radford University at the Group A State Track Meet.
Individuals and relays results are as follows:
Dylan Shirley- 1st Long Jump, 1st 400, 3rd Triple Jump, 5th High jump

John Michael Pirtle- 1st 110 Hurdles, 2nd 300 Hurdles, 2nd Long Jump

Cody Stout 5th 1600 meters

4 X100 Relay 3rd- Trevor Warner, Devon Martin, Dylan Shirley, & John Michael Pirtle

4 X 400 Relay 3rd- Trevor Warner, Devon Martin, Cody Stout, & Dylan Shirley

The final results of their efforts on the day were 72 points for Stonewall Jackson High School, thus winning the 2012 Group A Men’s Track Title.


The Generals were coached by Coaches Dick Krol, Debbie Ritchie, Mary (Kagey) Clanahan (SJ class of '80), Kayla Perry and Kelly Clanahan (SJ class of '85).
