What is Jane Robelot known for?

Jane Robelot, born October 9, 1960, is a well-known American television host, originating from Greenville, South Carolina. She started her career in the 1980s at WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, South Carolina and then moved on to WCAU TV in Philadelphia before joining CBS. As a dedicated journalist, she served as a co-anchor for CBS television's 'This Morning' from 1996 to 1999 and following that, she anchored for WGCL-TV in Atlanta.

Robelot continued her journalistic pursuits upon returning to her native South Carolina and now serves as the 4pm news anchor at WYFF-TV in Greenville. Alongside her husband, Mario DeCarvalho, she co-founded Carolina Zoom Productions, a high-definition video company.

Her exceptional career does not stop there. Robelot won two national Emmy Awards during her tenure at CBS and also served as the daytime co-host for the Nagano Olympics in 1998. She used her platform for impactful work, too, as she led a local initiative documented in "Chronicle: Pauls' Gift" - a project that achieved an increase in state's organ donation registrations, earning her national and international recognition, and the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award.

In recognition of her significant contributions, Robelot was inducted into the Greenville County, SC Schools Hall of Fame in their 2017 Inaugural Class. A graduate of both Wade Hampton High School in Greenville and Clemson University, Robelot's illustrious career is a testament to her dedication and skill in the field of journalism.
