About Me | Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Priscilla Woodson began her entertainment career at the tender age of 10, when she sang a solo at her local church during Sunday services. Recognized by her choir director as an ingénue, Priscilla soon began formal vocal training under the direction and watchful eye of Dr. Roscoe Speed, a renowned voice coach and Priscilla’s singing mentor. A natural soprano, Priscilla was elected section leader and was awarded outstanding music student for both 1984 and 1985 at Miami’s American High School, in addition to being crowned homecoming queen in her senior year. Although soul, gospel, and jazz music is her passion, Priscilla is a Renaissance artist, having performed in lead roles the Ujima Theatre’s (Columbus, Ohio) production of “Love and Street Corner Harmony,” as well as in “What Color is Trouble?” at the Lincoln Theatre in Midland, PA. Priscilla also won lead roles in multi-year productions of “One Mo’ Christmas,” as well as on-going productions at the Ujima Theatre. An instrumental member of The TP Project (www.tpproject.org), Priscilla performs lead vocals and acts as co-producer for the Columbus, Ohio-based gospel jazz recording group. TP Project has released four CD compilations, including The Message; Trevitt St. & 169th Terrace; Juneteenth LIVE; and Christmas Expressions. A contemporary band, the TP Project incorporates modern technology to reach and entertain the masses. Priscilla remains active in her church New Birth Christian Ministries of Columbus, OH and serve as house psalmist for the Gospel Jazz Happy Hour at New Song Community Church in Columbus, Ohio. Her further spiritual leadership experience includes extensive tenures as worship director; minister of music; choir director; youth director; worship leader; and praise leader. No stranger to the “ins” and “outs” of the entertainment industry, Priscilla’s professional credentials also includes acute business woman as an entertainment music consultant for Adminiprise LLC(www.adminiprise.com) , a consulting firm that specializes in small business management and back office solutions for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Priscilla also represents vocalists and musicians for AMP—Artist & Music Productions, Adminiprise’s spin-off division that focuses solely on clients in the entertainment industry. A great deal of Priscilla’s passion comes from her service to her country. After graduating from Miami Dade Community College, Priscilla enlisted in the United States Armed Forces, with active duty in the U.S. Army, which afforded her the opportunity to travel across the country and abroad. However, Priscilla is undoubtedly best known a radio personality for Talktainment Radio and host of the international Internet forum, The Soultress Show. The Soultress Show is for artist, hosted by artist. An engaging and entertaining host, Priscilla “Lady Soultress” Woodson blends various genres of music with her unique stylings, including spoken word artists, visual artist, comedians, undiscovered talent, and aspiring artists.
