About	Stephen Shremshock, 77, of Leechburg, died Monday (Aug. 18, 2003) in West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township. Born July 20, 1926, in Homestead, he lived in the Valley all his life. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army 60th Infantry and was a technician fifth grade. He graduated from Slippery Rock College and received a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. A teacher at the Apollo and Apollo-Ridge middle school and high school, he taught physical education, social studies, health and driver's education before retiring. Mr. Shremshock was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and the Pennsylvania State Education Association. He enjoyed gardening, and hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Irene Papik Shremshock; two brothers, Andrew Shremshock of Lower Burrell and Maj. Richard Shremshock of Georgia; and a sister, Mrs. Anna (Robert) McCullum of Port Charlotte, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Frena Shremshock; three brothers; and a sister. Burial was private. Arrangements were handled by the RUSIEWICZ FAMILY OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS, Arnold and Lower Burrell.
