| About | Athens — Mark Van Deln West, 58, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2010. Born in Wills Point, Texas on August 13, 1952. West was descended from pioneer Oklahoma and East Texas Families. He grew up in Athens with his parents, V.E. “Chick†West and Betty LaRue West, and his seven sisters and brother.
