I joined the Army Reserves right after graduation to pay for college, and chose to be a carpenter. I was studying Musical Theatre in PA, when I was pulled out in 2004 for deployment. I spent all of 2005 in northern Iraq rebuilding the bases and making them livable for the soldiers and Iraqi military. I met my husband in the military, and we were married shortly after our return from Iraq. Since then I have been continuing in the Reserves out of West Virginia.

Served United States Army right after graduating. Spent tour in Germany, where she was one of but a few females in the service. Times have changed, now. Women are far more common in the military, but in the 80's women in the military was still a big deal and every day was a big fight it seemed. No regrets, however.
