About Me	After college, I worked for 32 years as a park ranger for the Washington State Parks system. In 1997, while still with State Parks, I began a new career as a faculty member at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, where I served as chair of the Criminal Justice Department, and was the commander of two police training academies. I also was the director of security services for the district for seven years. I remarried in 2005, and live on the north end of Camano Island on a 2.5 acre mini-farm. I pursued my Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University because I believe in being a life-long learner.
