About Me	What most of my friends might not know about me is that I was born with the birth defect Spina Bifida which I have the most severe type which is called Myelomeningocele pronounced (my-low-ma-nin-jo-seal). Since I can't walk I have to use a wheelchair to get around & I also don't drive myself so I have to depend on my mom or someone else to take me to the places I want or need to go to. When I started school I went for a year to a public school here in my hometown but since they didn't have the facilities I needed my district superintendent found the Orthopedically handicapped class at Findlay City Schools so in 1980 I was transferred to Ben Franklin Elementary & rode a bus for 45 minutes to an hour everyday with the hearing impaired kids to Findlay so I ended up learning some sign language just by watching the k...(read more)
