About	Paul Burik, Class of 1967, passed away on January 30, 2007 in Fort Myers, Florida as a result of rapidly growing leukemia. His contracting leukemia has been attributed to being in contact with Agent Orange while flying Heavy Helicopter during his tour of duty in Vietnam. Throughout high school Paul # 74 played on Garfield's GCC and LEL Conference Championships' Football Teams. Paul married Linda Seme, Garfield Class of 1969 and they moved to Fort Myers in 1972. Paul became a contractor in Fort Myers and he and Linda had one son, Todd. Paul and Linda divorced in the 1980' s and Todd remained Paul's only child. Paul continued to live in the Fort Myers area near his parents, brother and son and ex-wife until his unexpected death. Paul loved his "Blue Goose", the blue corvette with the white convertible top and gleaming silver side-pipes that he bought brand new right out of high school,. Paul loved his family, country dancing, his dogs, his cars and the cabin in that he built in north Georgia.
