About Me | Russ was the Software Quality Manager for the Technology Divisions of SANMINA-SCI Corp. They employ some 42,700 plus people in [97] electronic manufacturing services plants, located around the world. Russ, married Mary Ann Asbury from Memphis, Tenn.(1963). They had a [son] Timothy Mark born in (1965) and a [daughter] Yvette Marie born in (1968). Both Children have graduated college, and now have families of their own. Tim Lives in Houston, Texas and Yvette lives in Colorado Springs, CO. Russ and Ann are proud grandparents of [three], Cameron Michael and Lydia Ann and Deserai Marie Mihaly. Russ served [13+] years with USMC(R), there he instructed, in (32) electronic and military technical schools. After receiving his BSEE, He worked as an Electrical Engineer for IBM in 1964. Where he helped develop the IBM-360-20 Mainframe Computer System, He was a Manufacturing Plant Manager for Compton Industries 1965-66, and Professional Engineer and Program Manager at General Dynamics Electronics Division in 1974. where he helped develop the (GPS) Global Position Satellite System. From 1966 to 1992 He was a Reliability Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Sr. Test Technology Engineer, Sr. System Software Analyst, Professional Staff member, Program Manager and Professional Engineer for Martin Marietta Aerospace (MMA) in Orlando, Florida from 1966-1992. He retired from [MMA] in (1992). Until March,2003, Russ worked for SANMINA-SCI Systems Inc. "the world Premier (EMS) Electronic Manufacturing Services company". He was Documentation and Information Manger, a Certified Professional Manager and Professional Engineer. Listed in Empire Who's Who and the International IT Who's Who and several others. He was instrumental in IEEE Standards Development and the introduction of ARPA-NET e.g. World Wide Web and [PROFS E-Mail] in both the Executive Offices of the White house and Congress. He is active in both professional and civic organizations. He was a member of MENSA and has an IQ of 147.
