Graduation Year Class of 1975
Date of Passing (unknown)
About Phillip battled cancer as a teenager. Bravest kid I ever met. I can remember that he turned out for gym class in the 9th or 10th grade and participated in gym class with all the rest of us guys, despite having a leg amputed from the hip down. I can still picture him in my mind as he was chasing a ball, while hopping along on crutches, laughing and smiling. Philip was stricken with cancer as a youth and eventually succumbed to the disease in his teens. You are not forgotten, Philip.

He was on the gymnastics team, even though he had one leg. After his death, an an award, named after him, was given to the gymnast who tried the hardest. I wonder if this award is still given? It was a plaque, with the awardees' names put on it.
