About Me | Just reached an amazing milestone, 30 years of marriage. It has not been an easy road by any means. I am not perfect, he is not perfect..what we are is each other's best friend. It is important to know that in a relationship, really know that - so if you have to say it alot, say it a lot! We do. I have 2 boys who I love more than life itself. Being a parent has been the hardest thing I have done to date. You want to be there for them and never let them go and isn't that exactly what you have tried to prepare them for? We haven't been the best parents in the world and I know none that can say they are, but what what we have tried to get across to them is nothing worth having is handed to you, you must work for it on your own or the appreciation of having it is not the same and they hopefully know that we will ALWAYS be here when they need us. I love to read and have recently read the Shades trio... lots of talk and drama about those books and I grasped a very strong psychological component that we should all learn to love someone "even though". A wise lady gave me the best advice I have ever heard and will always carry "listen to people's stories, it's amazing how different you view things when you do". So right and more people should practice this. I would have missed much about many. Out of friendship I expect and will give unending loyalty. It irritates me when others expect you to act a certain way and give to them endlessly and when the reverese is required the expectation level is lowered form themselves. I have discovered that people are people and if they are too busy looking at my faults they are not my friends. Friends and people who love you build you up, they do not consistently point out what your doing wrong based ontheir belief that it is. I love to golf..and it isn't just about the sport forcing you to compete against yourself mostly...and it is not just about the integrity of the game and how it teaches you so much patience - it is also about nature component. I love being outdoors and the more the better, but I do bore easily and do not easily relax so need something to do most times. It has gotten better over the years. I have been a Bills fan since 1981 and though I am not happy with how they have performed in the last several years and have become nonchalent about football, I will always be a fan to the ONLY team in Upstate NY. I love all kinds of music with the exception of Opera - that just never got past irritating to me. Love to eat and it shows!!! Bad stuff mostly... not much of a drinker, used to be - days of that are behind me, although I do indulge at appropriate times and do not make a habit out of it. Moderation is key in many things. Lost both parents inthe last 5 years and it was the most painful and emotional thing I have ever had to go through. Life has not been the same since and it is so sad how we all take our parents for granted because truly one day they won't be there, anyone who has the chance should get to know them as people and not just parents, it will be the most rewarding and fulfilling experience in your lifetime. Don't wait..do it now. Love to swim.. find it so relaxing, dont' get to do it much anymore. Love my work caring for people, but lately am realizing that I am growing tired physically from it and can't tolerate the paper work I have to handle so much anymore, a lot of responsbility and have been doing it since I was 18. Long time. I have met some of the greatest people along the way with the biggest hearts who have taught me much. Love to look out my window and see the changing seasons and as much as I love nice weather am sure if I were to leave here as I threaten to do (hate driving in snow!) I would absolutely miss the wonderous nature of Upstate NY. Have a Bichon... love him to pieces and he is my constant companion - loves m without question or condition!! What I want from others is exactly what they want from me, lo...(read more) |
