Joined the Army in June 1973 and headed to Germany thereafter. Got out in 1977 only to go back in 1978 and again headed back to Germany and never left. Still there now after retirement.

Entered service in June 73, took Basic in Ft. Ord, Calif. then moved on to Ft. Knox, Ky. for Advanced training as a tank crewman and after some leave in Hawaii headed over to Germany with the 1st Armored Division stationed in Bamberg with 3rd Bde, 3-35 Armor Battalion as a 11E. Got out in 1977 but returened in 1978 and stayed till retirement in 1996. Went to the first gulf War with 3-35 Ar. Loved every minute of the choice that I took. The Yearbook said I was going into the military and I have fullfilled my wish.
