Air Force, 20+ Years
Entered the Air Force in Sept 1981, served as a Security Policeman in Montana, North Dakota, Michigan, Greece, Italy, Turkey, South Korea, Saudi Arabia (Desert Shield/Storm), and as a 1st Sgt in Idaho, Hungary & Japan for a total of 22 years & 10 months; married a girl from North Carolina & had 3 great children. The militarywas great but always thought of my home in Putnam Co, Ohio.

Entered the Air Force in Sept 1981, served as a Security Policeman in Montana, North Dakota, Michigan, Greece, Italy, Turkey, South Korea, Saudi Arabia (Desert Shield/Storm), and as a 1st Sgt in Idaho, Hungary & Japan for a total of 22 years & 10 months; married a girl from North Carolina & had 3 great children. The militarywas great but always thought of my home in Putnam Co, Ohio.
Michael V. Stehlik
Class of 1970
Navy, 20+ Years
Joined the U.S. Navy after high school serving nearly nine years on Active Duty that included a five year tour on a Polaris missile submarine. In 1979, left the Active Duty Navy, joined the Naval Reserve, and became a full-time college student, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1983. In 1984 was commissioned in the Navy Medical Service Corps.and retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve in 2000 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

3 1/2 years active duty Air Force, serving in Tacoma, WA. Then 19 years in the Air National Guard out of Ft.Wayne, IN. Served 2 duties over seas during Operation Iraqi Freedom one in Qatar, and the other in Iraq.

Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Ottawa-glandorf High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
