Jimmy C. Kimble
Class of 1952
Army, 20+ Years
Enlisted 12 May 1953. Basic training with 188th Airborne at Ft. Campbell. Jump school at Ft. Benning, Ga.,then to Korea for eighteen months. Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Simulator School, Ft. Rucker, AL. Three years in Germany with the Army Aviation School. Vietnam 1970-71. Retired in 1973. Worked twenty-five years as a Civilian Flight Simulator Instructor at Fort Rucker, Al. Retired Jan 2000.

1966 & 1967 in Mekong Della in Vietnam. Then spent January through July of 1968 in Korea as result of the capture of the Navy spy ship “Pueblo”. Anything that you ever heard about how cold it gets in Korea in the winter was an understatement. 40 to 70 degrees below zero chill factors.
