Reunion Notice - Eagles 1968
The time is at hand! The Ruskin Class of 1968 proudly announces the 45th Class Reunion on September 7, 2013! Who would have thought any of us would still be here to celebrate? Thank goodness The Who was wrong!
Nancy Cooper Grashuis has secured a beautiful place for our event. It is the beautiful home of Mr. Larry Stewart, also more famously known as the Secret Santa of Kansas City, who recently passed away. His home has been converted into the Park Ridge Clubhouse, and it is ours for the evening.
We will have two floors and a beautiful deck to enjoy. We are planning a buffet dinner (you know what will be there, I am betting on mashed potatoes and some meat covered in brown gravy!).
We will provide ice, cups, soft drinks, and ice tea, both sweet and unsweetened. By this age, we have all figured out what we like or do not like to drink. So it will be BYOB. If you need set ups other than coke or sprite, bring that too. We will provide plenty of ice and coolers for storage of beer. Locals can take these precious coolers home when they leave.
We will also have a DJ for your dining and dancing pleasure. He will be set up in the basement, which has a full bar (unstocked!) and a pool table. Upstairs will be tables and chairs and a great deck for quieter conversation (bring your cigars!!).
Dress? Whatever. We will be casual, but if you look great in something, wear it, so we can all enjoy.
Time? 6:30-11:00 or so. DJ will probably stop around 10:30. Not sure how long we can stay around and linger after 11. We may be all be ready for bed anyway by then.
Cost? $35/person. Think this takes us back to 30 year reunion rates. Inexpensive, fun night for everyone.
Location? East of 470 on Woods Chapel Road in Lee’s Summit. 4309 Park Ridge Blvd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064. East on Woods Chapel from I-470. One mile on the left. Look for a giant blue roof!
Payment? As in the past, we determined that only Shirley Olson can be trusted with our money, and we really aren’t that sure about that. So, as in the past, please send your check to:

Date? Saturday, September 7, 2013. No formal events planned for Friday or Sunday, but stay tuned.
Encouragement? They have all been fun! I think we have only had one fight, and that was at the 20?. Pretty damn good for a bunch of Ruskin graduates. Note to all. We are not getting younger. It is worth it to see some of your high school friends for maybe the last time. It really has been a nice run for most of us, so come and share. Please, if you are still in contact with fellow graduates, spread the word!

Nancy L Clark Grashuis-It will be at the clubhouse at Park Ridge Subdivision off Woods Chapel Rd. ( the big blue roof). Has big main room lowr level w pool table and bar area and huge kitchen and price is great. We will let u know what we might need.
