About Me	I am a self employed 3D mixed media artist. I live in central Florida and show my work around this area. I have a website where I sell the originals and prints at www.gigi-croom.artistwebsites.com. My Facebook business page is called "Cloud Out Loud". When I decided to sell my art, I wanted the proceeds to make a difference. We have a 24 year old daughter, Katie, with Down Syndrome. She recently graduated from high school and graduated from community college in June (2013). This from a young woman, whom the doctors said at her birth, that she should be institutionalized and would never amount to anything. She was enrolled in art classes in community college. Now mind you, we had no idea that she was interested in art, or had any predisposed ability to create art. She recently brought home several of her charcoal drawings and literally blew us away. Her talent is amazing and we only recently learned of it. I am currently in talks right now to hold free art classes with Katie's group "Down Syndrome of Louisville". I will continue to spread the word to those who ask…don’t stop creating, don’t let others judge your work and discourage you…if it’s art to you, then it’s art! We have 4 amazing adult children whom we are so proud of: Whitney, Zach, Katie and Dennis. And, a beautiful little granddaughter (Whitney is her mommy).
