In 1973 the Navy sent me to Syracuse University to be trained as a Photojournalist. In 1976 I was honored as the Navy's Photojournalist of the Year. Accepted a commission in 1979 as a Photographic Officer. Retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 1991. During my Navy career in lived in Kodiak AK, Republic of the Philippines, San Diego CA, Indianapolis IN, Syracuse NY,
Mountian View CA and Whidbey Island WA.
