Join us for an evening of friendship and memories in the Santiam room at the Salem convention center located next the Grand Hotel. There will be lots of tasty savory and sweet foods to eat and coffee, waters, lemonade to enjoy. A no host bar will be located in the gallery lobby adjourning the room. Free parking is available at the Grand Hotel.

Join us July 24-25, 2020 for our 40th Reunion of the Class of 1980 from South Salem High School. The committee's goals were to put together a two day event that was a lot of fun, easy to coordinate, and easy/affordable to attend. Schedule of events:
Friday 5-10 pm - fun night (Saxon Spirit Night). Join us at the home of Scott and Theresa Erickson in the hills of West Salem where you'll be treated to JACKIE'S RIBS (to be prepared by chef Brian McClain and helpers) as well as a no host bar and some very fun surprises. Wear your Saxon colors! Nominal cost per person at the door.
Saturday 10 am (optional) - tour of South Salem High School
Saturday Noon (optional) - a 9 hole golf scramble, a casual bowling event and maybe a picnic option will be coordinated by members of the committee.
Saturday Evening - dinner to be held at Lum Yuen. Traci Kautz is the GM and is offering us a great venue with good parking and great food for $20 pp or less. We will line up some watering and dancing locations for after the dinner.
The committee will try to arrange a block of rooms at The Grand Hotel in downtown Salem at a discounted rate for Friday and Saturday nights for those coming in from out of town.

Great one day event! Daytime activities include your choice of: a) a memory walk, which will include a tour of South Salem High School; b) a fun golf scramble; and then a wonderful event at Theresa and Scott Erickson's home in West Salem, site of the Friday night social for our 30th reunion.
The reunion committee is hard at work with some amazingly creative ideas on how to make this event outstanding AND keep the price point low. The next planning event is Sunday, May 3rd at 10:30 am at Erickson's if you would like to grab a cup of coffee and join us.

Bring the spouse, kids, grandkids, friends. Those from other classes such as 1975 and 1977 are welcome too. Please spread the word. We're planning to have a group photo at 3pm so please plan to be there at that time. Afterwards those who are interested can meet up at Bentley's Grill (www.bentleysgrill.com) at 291 Liberty Street SE in our conference center downtown for the evening. We have no room reserved so hopefully we won't overwhelm the place by meeting in the bar/restaurant.
