About Me	Worked 40 years in the steel industry. Participated in the engineering, fabrication, transportation, and erection of an estimated 10,000 bridges across the USA. Certified bridge erectors for the American Institute of Steel Construction. Represented the USA in a bridge technology interchange with Japan, Italy, Germany, and the UK. Represented the steel industry on the AASHTO T-14 Tech Committee. Worked with the AISI Bridge Task Force and AISC giving speeches to DOT's and design firms. Won the 1997 Charles Pankow Innovation in Steel Bridge Award working with AISI/FHWA/US Navy in the development and implementation of High Performance Steel for bridge construction. In 2006 received a Special Lifetime Contribution Citation from the National Steel Bridge Alliance.
