The Pavilion at Waterside is a beautiful outdoor facility on the site of the former GDRA facility on Bryant Irvin Rd. where we had many great school retreats. Their is no fee to attend the Meet &Greet and there is plenty of free parking in front of Taco Diner and Steel City Pops. The Pavilion is located immediately behind Taco Diner which will be offering food and beverages for sale. (You have to bring your own alcohol for the Pavilion area or it can be purchased in Whole Foods which adjoins the Pavilion). Dress is casual and comfortable. We are hoping for a beautiful fall night so plan on bringing a sweater. Hope to see everyone there!

Since Benbrook is dry, drink tickets for beer, wine, & margaritas must be purchased in advance through registration, there will be none sold at the BBQ by law. You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol. Security will be present.

This event is outdoors with a covered pavilion; wear appropriate shoes for pebble walkways, avoid high heels.
Parking is at stables office and path to pavilion is behind office. Golf cart rides to the pavilion are available from the parking lot if needed. Restrooms are accessible.

Dear Class, Here are the details. First night will be Friday August 27 and second night on Saturday August 28. Due to overwhelming response the entire reunion will be casual. The Friday night mixer will be at Grissoms in West Fort Worth, and Saturday night will be at Los Vaqueros near the Stockyards in Fort Worth. The focus on the Friday night event is a low cost gathering where we will grill burgers and hot dogs, and have food we can get from Sam's or Costco in bulk at a good price. You can bring your own beer, or wine, no hard liquor please. The venue is mostly outdoors, but there are covered areas and inside space if the weather doesn't cooperate. Come Friday night to reconnect with old classmates and meet up them again the following night! Saturday night will also be casual, and the focus is on prepared food and drinks from an outdoor bar. Los Vaqueros is a huge place that can host several events at once. We reserved the "Garden Area" which is an outdoor space large enough for about 200 people to mix and mingle. We were told that if the weather turns bad we can move to the basement which is large enough to hold everyone comfortably. This place is nice, casual, and plenty spacious. The next step is for us to work out the pricing details for each night. We expect Friday night to be the lower cost of the two, but our Saturday night event will still be very reasonable. The focus of the committee was "bang for the buck", the ability for people to roam freely, in an environment where we didn't have to compete with loud music. This should be a nice venue to talk, and catch up with our classmates. More to come as pricing details are worked out, so stay tuned...
