| About Me | Time to update this. Let's run things down from the top, shall we? My wife died in 2005, those of you who were there for me know who you are. Those of you who should have been but weren't, well, you know who you are as well. Call me stubborn, call me old school (to me, that's a compliment!). But don't ever call me dumb or ignorant. I have an IQ of 145 and read more in a day than most Americans do in a week. Good music is good music and bad music is bad music, don't bother me with bad music. Don't invite me to Facebook games, I have close to 100 ignored requests already. Don't assume that because I rarely date that I never ask anyone out either, I just get told no far more than I would in a saner society. Don't lay your conservative, right-wing crazy bullshit on me. I don't agree with drug testing welfare recipients or class warfare or glorifying mindless violence and calling it heroism. I do believe that most military personnel serve honorably and wish to see peace in our time. If only our so-called leaders did, it would be done already. Please do believe me that if the huge consolidation of the radio industry hadn't happened beginning in 1996 that I would still be working in radio. Please believe along with me in the superiority of the 3-4 defense. I'm me. I laugh when I want to, I cry when I want to. I tell you pretty much everything straight-up so know that going in. If I had room enough, there'd be a half-dozen adopted stray cats living with me again but, I rent a room that is 10 feet by 14 feet. Give me credit for what I've accomplished. Give me credit for being able to live on less than $12,000 a year. Give me the benefit of the doubt now and then for I will do the same for you. If I tell you something from the news or current events, bet your bottom dollar I have researched it thoroughly. If you say you will call me at a certain time and do, you make a good impression because such a once-common thing has become too rare. If the call is late for a good reason, all is well. If the call never comes without a good reason, you have made a bad impression and a mark has been noted on y...(read more) |
