Was in Basic Training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio TX from Nov 65 to Jan 66. Next assignment was in the Communications career field at the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center in St Louis MO from Jan 66 to Sep 67. From there went on my first overseas tour to Incirlik AB Turkey from Oct 67 to Apr 69. From there I came back to Texas for an assignment at Perrin AFB, approximately 75 miles north of Dallas between Sherman and Denison from May 69 to May 70. Then I went to Southeast Asia for an assignment at Udorn Royal Thai AB Thailand from Jun 70 to Jun 71. Next stop was at Bergstrom AFB TX at Austin TX from Jul 71 to Jul 72. Time for another overseas assignment, this time to Camp New Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Best assignment of my Air Force Career. I was there from Aug 72 to Aug 81. Came back to TX again to Randolph AFB near San Antonio TX from Sep 81 to Dec 85 when I retired from the Air Force.

1st command USS Wisconsin (BB64) during Dessert Shield/Storm, Wepaons department Yoeman, a lot of typing. Then to school for OTM advance electronics and then station in Iceland for 2 and a half years. another school for Mineman 3yrs in Seal Beach, CA move to Ingleside, TX for last 10yrs in the Navy, 1yr at school, 3yrs on a ship, 3yrs at COMOMAG (staff duty), then last 3yrs at HM-15. More schools in eletronics, Shipping Officer for in and out of ports (on the bridge and giving information to the Commanding Officer), Incharge of ships Sonar system for Mine hunting our main job. 2M eletornics repair, ship's Intel photographer and regular photographer. Staff duty at Commander Moble Mine Assmbley Group (COMOMAG) in Corpus Christi, TX, working exercises for all over the world. Last 3 years I was at HM-15 station in Corpus Christi, TX In charge of the HAZMAT Department for 1 year and got it fixed and back on track in less than that 1year. I was then made the Security Manager and worked for the CO and the XO, I then also became the command photographer at that time. One of HM-15 Blackhawks jobs is desater relief all over the world. Now retired after 20 yrs and 10 days. I am now using my GI bill to go back to school. I am still living in Ingleside, TX.
