I had a career of honorable service to God & Country. Highlights include the following: Highly decorated Vet, lifetime member of AFA, Graduate University of Evansville w/honors, pinned on my Gold Bars as 2nd Lt. Det.# 240 AFROTC May 77. One of the first women cadets successfully inducted in the all male Arnold Air Corps Society, I overcame tremendous odds, ridicule, and sexual harassments to be a member. My gruesome initiation was only a glimpse of the heartache I would be facing to earn a distinguished military career as a woman Air Force officer. Fought against the "Good Old Boys", system with tireless efforts to prove my worthiness alongside men for my earned promotions in rank. A superb leader in the most powerful Air Force in the World! Greatest Patriotic Achievements: Woman Officer escort for President Ronald Regan visit to California Air Base, European Battle Staff Officer, Desert Storm Veteran, Spokeswomen for NATO No Fly Zone, Public Affairs Officer acumen ensured public understanding of AF Mission with highly visible media; TV and Radio appearances to include Phil Donahue TV Show, Chicago, Good Morning America, Chanute Air Force Base, Romanian & Italian PBS Networks. Became Commander of 3372nd Student Squadron led more than 400 men & women to Team Excellence repeatedly during Higher Headquarters Inspections. Won ribbon honors for leading squadron during military parades. First lady officer to be on the Turkish American Association, in Ankara, Turkey, Joint Service, with sister services, Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, Plans Action Officer for Contact Program with 11 Central Eastern Countries and Baltic Nations previously under Communist Control. Returned to USA and retired at Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Since retirement have been a JROTC Leadership instructor for the Army program leading 6, 7, and 8th grade men and women students. Currently residing in Osceola, Indiana

Served as an Aircrewman on the P-3 Orion, Anti-submarine aircraft. Our mission was to find, locate and track Soviet nuclear and diesel submarines that posed a threat to our country and shipping lanes.I also was on the first airplane to arrive at the KAL 007 downing. I was stationed in numerous countries around the world, including Japan, Okinawa, the Philippines, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Turkey. In all I logged over 8,000 hours of flight time and physically circled the globe in my travels.

I retired in 1995 and I now teach Elementary Special Education students at Eden Wisconsin and live with my wife, Carol and my 9 year old son, James.
