I did my basic training at MCRD San diego CA. where afterwards I was assigned to 1st Battalion 11th Marines as an artilleryman, went on two West Pac tours, reenlisted and assigned Barracks Duty in Japan where I served for 3 and half years then assigned to 29 Palms CA. to finish my last 6 months. I served during the Gulf War.

Joined in 1968, went to Quang Tri, Vietnam until 1970, stationed at Fort Hood, then long tour (3 years) to Kaiserslautern Germany, then Fort hood again then ETS Aug. 31,1976. Then joined National Guard for 2 years.
