entered on the delayed entry program and left home right after graduation. When the recruiter asked what field I was interested in, I mentioned that I was the yearbook sports editor and that I wrote a column for the Bulldog Barks and he told me that "The field of communications is wide open". So, turns out I became a telephone lineman, climbing poles up to 60 feet! I am very proud to have served my country.

Lt Colonel. Commanded units in Korea and Colorado; Vice Commander of the Air Force Special Investigations Academy. Spent majority of my career as a Special Agent with the Air Force OSI. Served on U.S. START and INF Treaty Inspections and Deputy Director of Counterintelligence for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Petty Officer Third Class/Corpsman/One year labor and delivery ward/two years at Pensacola Fire Department as an EMT riding the ambulance.

Served 30 years in the Navy, mostly in submarines however served in surface ships also. Had one tour in Viet Nam in 1968. Went from enlisted to a commissioned officer, retiring as a Navy Commander.

Served as Honor Guard for President Joh F. Kennedy. Anitsubmarine acoustic operator and search and rescue swimmer. Flew in P3 patrol aircraft and H3 helicopters. On pick up crew for Apollo 8, 10 & 11.

US Nuclear Power Program was responsible for the water chemistry of the power and steam plant. Served on Guided Missle Cruiser, Destroyer Tender and Aircraft Carrier.

Air Force, 2 Years

Co-pilot of B-17. 452nd bomb group, 729th bomb squadron, stationed at Deopham Green, England. Shot down on third mission. Crash landed in Belgium. Captured by the Germans on May 29, 1944. POW for 11 months in Stalag Luft III, then long march in January 1945 to Stalag 7A. Liberated on April 29, 1945 by General George Patton.
