After graduating with honors -90%- and first in my class from Munitions Maintenance Specialist technical school I served two tours in South East Asia stationed in Thailand at U-Tapoa Air Force base in the munitions storage area where I loaded bombs with a rough-terrain forklift during my first tour. During my second tour I worked as a munitions inspector where I supervised a DOD test bomb program. After my first tour I was awarded the Air Force Commendation medal for my actions assisting a DOD accident inspection team investigating an accident in the bomb dump involving the explosion of 450 750 pound high explosive bombs when my relief forklift driver knocked two of the bombs off of the back of the stack causing a fire. The fire was caused by defective manufacturing by General Motors.
