USAF Reserve 4 years while in medical school; Served 9 years active duty as a physician; 5 years training in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX 1982-1987 then served 4 years as pulmonary/critical care physician 1987-1991 at USAF Medical Center Scott, Illinois.

Went through Aviation Cadet Program.
Received Wings and Commission (2nd Lt.) Feb 7, '55. Spent many years as an Instructor Pilot in the Air Training Command flying T-33 and T-28A. Flew in Alaska with the 317th Fighter Interceptor Squadron flying F-102. Served as an advisor to the Royal Thai Air Force flying T-28D (Close Air Support fighter) in '70-'71. Retired at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL in '73. Taught High school for 30 years and now on my second retirement.
I had the chance to instruct Wayne Wranoski (E.J.'son) at Big Spring, TX before his tragic death in Viet Nam.

Enlisted 2/3/'53, retired 3/1/'73. Graduated aviation cadet class 55-H 2/7/'55 with pilot wings and commission as 2nd lt. Flew single engine jet and recip engine for over 5,000 hours. Served with the Royal Thai Air Force in '70-'71 as an advisor flying T-28D close air support.Retired at Tyndall AFB, Florida and still live in the area(Lynn Haven). Served throughout Texas, Alabama, Alaska as well as Thailand and Florida.
Note; As senior flight check pilot in '62-'63, I gave Capt. Wayne Wranosky his final flight check in pilot training at Big Spring Texas. If that name is familiar, he was the son of E.J Wranosky. He later lost his life in Viet Nam.
