Had orders for 'Nam but goi sent to Germany ( Bavaria) was there when the Jewish team was killed by Black September faction, Baader-Meinhoff gand was blowing up stuff and we had some very, very bad racial trouble ( whites/Chicanos only 30% of troups. It was the big city Brothers who was stirring things up. The country boy brothers ( country like us) we all got along great, I have many good friends now who are Brothers. I then spent some time in the Texas nat'l guard, Beaumont. I'm very proud to have served and "grew up" while there! It was a great "Rite of Passage", ha. I now have a 43 yr old daughter (Melody Gehring) who spent 12 yrs as a Spanish Linguist in the Air force. She married a Marine who is still active in the Reserves. My other daughter ( they were twins) is very Liberal, married a wonderful guy from New Jersey who is also Liberal...they don't see eye to eye, ha. Twins...Thanks to all you Vets out there, we all owe you! PK

Our Hull-daisetta High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Hull-daisetta High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Daisetta are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
