J George Becht Primary School Alumni - Williamsport, PA

I went to Becht School in 1956-1957 for first and second grade. My mother died suddenly in 1956 and my dad remarried the following year. I got a new mother and an older brother when before we were both “only” children. My teacher in first grade was Miss Kellenstine who I discovered passed away in 2022. In second grade my teacher was Mrs Schaefer and my brother Jay had Miss Bieber. half way through second grade we moved first to Linden NJ and then to Colonia NJ where my brother and I were the first graduating class of Colonia Senior High School in 1968. I went to Rutgers University and then went to PCOM in Philadelphia and became an osteopathic physician. My brother went to Quinnipiac University and worked for the State of Connecticut in social services. I still have my 1st grade yearbook from Becht School after all these years. Miles A.
