Served 28 years in the US Air Force. Retired as a Lt Col in 1993. Worked in US Government as a civilian until 2005 and retired to Indian Trail, North Carolina to enjoy golfing and travel.

I served on board USS HARRY E. YARNELL (CG-17) FROM 1985-89. Then on board USS IOWA (BB-61) from 89-91. After which I was a classroom instructor at Great Lakes naval base machinest mate "a" school until my discharge in 1993.

Started on West Coast on Destroyers, lot of Vietnam time, Recruiting in Wisconsin then finished on a Carrier in Florida. Circumnavigated the globe several times. Have been to most free ports in the world.

Commanding Officer of 2 Nuclear Fleet Ballistic Submarines and Commander of a Submarine Squadron. Pentagon experience. Retired as a CAPTAIN, USN. Great and enjoyable career. Worked with became lifelong friends wirth superb shipmates both Officer and Enlisted. Not sure I could have found a more exciting and satisfying career!!!

Ser ved 12 years in England, 3 in Madrid Spain, 1 year in Turkey and Thailand, rest where in IN, OK, MS,GA,FL,SC . Enjoyed every minute of my Air Force Career. Never had a bad assignment - Some where just better than others.
