Joined the Army in 1964. After Army Basic Combat Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, was sent to U.S. Army Military Police School. Was then assigned to the U.S. Army Security Agency at Homestead Air Force Base, Florida. Performed work there that was considered "Classified" and "Top Secret". Left the Army in 1966 with an Honorable Discharge, the rank of Specialist 4th class, and the National Defense Service Award for service in the Army during a time of National Conflict (the Vietnam War).

Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Long Island City High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Long Island City are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
