I have been in the military for 9 years. I am trained in the field of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear warfare and I was deployed with the 101st Airborne in 07 and then with the 41st in 2010 I got to visit all of Saddam palaces. I have enjoyed my time and am getting ready to deploy again to Afghanistan in 2014.

Currently am a Commander (O5) in the US Coast Guard serving as the D13 External Affairs Chief based in Seattle, WA. Even though this assignment is a non-flying billet, I am pilot for the Coast Guard flying the MH-65 & MH-68 helicopters since 2000.

Navy, 23 Years
I served 23 years in the Navy, retiring in 1980 as the Command Master Chief (E-9 Rank) of the Naval Security Group at the Groton Connecticut Submarine Base. Most of that 23 years involved electronic maintenance, supervision, & management at Navy bases located throughout Europe, Asia, the United States and on various Pacific & Atlantic islands. My duty stations lasting one to three years each included: Guantanamo Cuba, Clark Air Base, Philippines, NATO Bases in Keflavik Iceland and in Augsburg, West Germany, Washington D.C., Groton, Connecticut, Skaggs Island, San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA, Bainbridge, Maryland, and probably a few other places I'm forgetting. While serving in the Navy, I also spent 3½ years attending the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Of course, during my 23 Navy years, I also travelled to various other locations including Hong Kong, China, Canada, Alaska, etc.
